Coheed and Cambria Band Photo

Lyrics to Coheed and Cambria: The Running Free

All non-believers stand aside in fear
A new day is marching through the door
How could you ever think you'd make it here?
Did it bleed? Was it sore?
Through the struggles you've endured.

You've come so far from innocence
Provided all the consequence
Only what does it matter now?

Cause your going home
You're running free
As only you would be if you never owed them anything
And now you've found your way out
In the trust you've seen your path home

Spend your time well before you go
Here in hell

Your living ends before the engineer
What was your motive in this fight?
(did they play you for the weaker of them?)
How could you ever think you'd make it here?
Was it greed that pushed your heart through the struggles you've endured?

You've come so far from innocence
Provided all the consequence
Only what does it matter now?

Cause your going home
You're running free
As only you would be if you never owed them anything
And now you've found your way out
In the trust you've seen your path home

Spend your time well before you go
Here in hell

(There's a hell in all of us)
Spend your time well before you go...
(There's a hell in all of...)

In a lost thats all your own
(There's a hell in all of us)
There are no secrets you can hide
(There's a hell in all of...)
From yourself, in your mind, leave the worst of all behind

Cause your going home
You're running free
As only you would be if you never owed them anything
And now you've found your way out
In the trust you've seen your path on home

Cause your going home
You're running free
As only you would be if you never owed them anything
And now you've found your way out
In the trust you've seen your path on home

Spend your time well before you go
Here in hell

Narrative: Face Your Demons (Coheed and Cambria:The Running Free)

Coheed woke up in his bed, while the chill of the early morning air blew in his open window. He sprung up out of bed and washed his face of in the bathroom sink with cool water. Coheed had vision last night of the girl he likes, Cambria, screaming for help. This vision freaked him out because he did not know whether it was going to happen or not. In the kitchen he sat down at his table and ate his breakfast, sitting in silence. He finished his black coffee and took a deep breath before he left the door to his apartment. As he opened the door he heard Cambria’s scream in his head or was it.
Outside the sun was not shinning and once again Coheed heard her scream. He wiped his head around and saw Cambria being abducted by Vergil and his gang. Cambria and Coheed’s eyes met but before Coheed could run to help her, they were already speeding away. Coheed sat in confusion of what has just happened and he ran back inside his house to get his car keys and guns. Sitting in his 1972 Black Chevrolet Impala, Coheed looked up where Vergil and his gang of dark rebels hideout. He drove off to the outskirts of the town where, Vergil and his gang live. As he drove up to the broken down, old, menacing mansion, all that filled Coheed was getting revenge on his brother for abducting Cambria.
As Coheed was walking up to the mansion, he was hit in the back of his head. When he woke up again he was handcuffed in some dungeon. Coheed sat their whole time thinking of how stupid he was for just walking right into the hands of his brother. The dungeon door creaked open and in walked Vergil with to body guards. Vergil said “wait outside the door, I wish to speak to him alone.” They left and the door was closed as quickly as it had opened. Coheed did not look at his brother and Vergil pay this no mind. Vergil informed his brother that, Cambria, was going to be his wife and he could watch as he took over the world. Vergil kneeled down to look at Coheed straight in the face and said “you know that she always liked me more, brother. Ohh by the way if you try anything, trust me I would enjoy killing you with your own gun.” Vergil was gone and Coheed sat in agony thinking of how he could save himself and Cambria. He knew that Vergil was evil and would abuse her. That night Coheed woke up to his friend, Dante, whispering his name at the dungeon window. Dante got Coheed out by pulling of the window bars. They both then climbed the side of the building to reach Vergil.
In Vergil’s room they split up and Dante went to rescue Cambria while Coheed went to get revenge. Coheed found his brother in a dark room staring at him as he walked in. “I was expecting you. Please have a seat we have a lot to discuss,” said Vergil as his brother stormed in the room. Coheed was angry and confused. Coheed yelled “I have nothing to say to you. I’ve just come to end you.” Vergil sat back in his chair and laughed, he looked out the window. Coheed looked out to see what his brother was looking at, there was Cambria running to freedom away from this awful place. She then got in Coheed’s car and drove off back home. Vergil turned around and said “like I said before she always liked me more. I asked her to be the bait to help get you here because when it comes to her she always makes your mind turn to mush.” Coheed lost all his anger and it turned to sadness, looking at Vergil he said “that’s a lie she would never go along with your plans, maybe you have forgotten that your and evil human being and she is an innocent girl.” Vergil just stared at his brother and asked him to join their gang. Then Dante walked in the room and smirked at Vergil. “I’ll ask you again , brother, join us or die” and Coheed responded “my life would mean more dead than by your side.” Dante kicked him to his knees and Vergil grabbed Coheed’s gun off his wooden desk. “Goodbye brother.”
